Make sure they are available on your wedding day and agree times before hand. It’s common for the toast master to be asked to arrive approximately an hour before the reception to meet all the staff they will be working alongside and get there plan of action synchronised.

Depending on the day of the week you decided to get married will not only effect the cost of the venue and entertainment but also the fees your toastmaster will expect to receive.

  • Monday through till Thursday you are expected to pay around £250
  • Fridays will start at around £300
  • Saturdays being the most expensive at an average of £400
  • While Sundays will set you back around £350

These average fees include all the basic traditional duties of a toastmaster including greeting the guests, bride and groom, general organisation of the day and escorting the bride and groom to the reception.
